The Celebration of a Lifetime for a Love-Story

A holy start

Karuna and Dhrumil were very particular about the clean yet extravagant design that they wanted to be followed through all the elements of design in the wedding. The events began with the holy blessings at the Gobinddham Gurudware, Ahmedabad with the Akhand Sri Guru Granth Saheb Path from 6th to 8th October, 2019. The outfits were elegantly selected to blend with the settings, as they commenced their marriage journey. And this entire event is organized by the Top Wedding Event Management Company in India, 7x Weddings.

Musical Mehendi

On the 13th October was the Mehendi cum Sangeet at Madhurya Ahmedabad. Since it was a sundowner event that would last till the night, the design was based on bright pop colours that reflected in the décor as well as the graphics. The couple chose for a very cinematic entry with Dhrumil riding the bike which was carrying the chariot that the bride was sitting in. For a bright and dance-y look I went with a fresh pink and yellow Papa Don’t Preach outfit and paired it with some Charles and Keith heels and Burberry glares, and finished the look with some fresh flowers in the day and diamond pieces for the night function. Dhrumil chose a custom Deepak Parwani and Jimmy Choo shades for a suave look.

A touch of haldi

Two days later it was all sunny and perfect, just in time for our Haldi celebrations at the Fairmont, Jaipur. For that day we went with a semi-traditional décor along with an omnipresent tinge of yellow to compliment the theme of applying turmeric paste all around. Just like the décor, the bride’s look was a partly desi yet contemporary look of Orange & Teal ghaghra choli with a pair of D&G glares and Dhrumil rhymed with the look in his embroidered yellow Nehru jacket look.

Illuminated wedding night

Then came the D-day, we had decided upon keeping it in the evergreen classic tones and looks for the wedding. The stage design was a grand platform surrounded with a sea of diyas and chandeliers, providing a subtle yet beautiful illumination. The bride and the groom wished for the most dramatic yet adorable idea for the entrances that they both would make – as they had their own baraats, something completely unheard of and hence, Karuna put some pants on during that to provide a rather nuanced look. She made the final entrance with a customary coupe of 40 dancers, strutting beneath the kalire ki chaddar till the stage. The bride’s Falguni and Shane Peacock outfit was truly a dream come true with their crimson red lehenga that had the finishing touches of bespoke Dyuti Bansal heels and PMody Jewellery bijouterie (Mumbai) and La Hira Designs (Surat). Dhrumil trusted Deepak Parwani to work his magic like he did with his previous looks, for the night with an aesthetic deep red embroidered sherwani.

Carnival fun

to celebrate all the guests and the holy matrimony, we planned a day of fun and frolic – which was the Carnival. Keeping the tangerine and teal shades for the décor, the fun prints could be seen in the couple’s outfits too. The day was a riot, full of laughter and dance as DJ Mr Pro beat and Maultek put on some funky tunes; with an elegant welcome dance by the gracious Russian dancers.

Sangeet+Reception

The beautiful wedding sojourn came to an end with the final eve of Sangeet + Reception. For that night they wore the same designer – with some Amit Aggarwal (Delhi) style for their performances. All the attendees cheered and applauded to the performances by Rajdeep Chatterjee (Mumbai) and the music our trusted DJs, later followed by choreographed performances by them and family members.
