SangRiya’s Surreal Shagan
Riya and Angad wanted a contemporary and modern wedding to reflect their own personality and style. The key word given to us was ENJOYMENT. They wanted their union to be full of fun and frolic with an air of freshness and newness in their celebrations. Being a doctor and businessman respectively they ran a very hectic and busy schedule, and chose us to represent their dreams and vision in the perfectly designed and orchestrated wedding. The destination of choice was Jaipur and we selected the most royal and gorgeous of locals for each function.
Arabian delights : Sufi Night
The celebrations kicked off with a sufi night at the charming Rambagh Palace. We perfectly blended the grandeur of the venue with decor designed and curated by 7X Weddings and executed by Elements Design to bring alive the feel of mysterious and enchanting Arabia. Luxurious and ornate fabrics in shades of green and gold were used to evoke the ambience of an Arabian night. A gateway full of flickering candles warmly welcomed the guests into a ball roomluxuriously filled with creamy white sofas and plump silky cushions. Round tables surrounded by cushioned wooden chairs, housed under a canopy of richly woven silk provided a grand setting to enjoy the lip smacking delicacies laid out that night. The tables were adorned with fragrant red roses and antique emerald-green cut glass lamps to add magic to the atmosphere. Golden filigree with green inlay was the theme for the serving tables and they looked gorgeous in the hues of the ambient lights.Shahdab Faridi enthralled the audience with his captivating qawali performance. There was a warm glow in the atmosphere and it was heartwarming to see family and friends dance the night away in merriment.
Benvenuto to SAngRiya’s mehandi and haldi ceremony
Sunny Italy was the theme of the couples mehandi and haldi hosted at the lush gardens of the Jaimahal Palace. Arches of bright sunflowers and yellow foliage were lined together to welcome the guests. A unique blend of flowers and fruits were used to create chandelier-like hangings, which gave a delicate fragrance to the dining areas laid out under beautifully printed fabrics . The family blessed the couple as they sat in golden urli encased within a thick yellow wreath for the haldi ritual, while DJ Khushi played the perfect songs to keep everyone on their toes from start to finish. Delicacies were flown in from Laduree and Limoncello to add a touch of authenticity to the theme. The showstopper however was the bar with its personalised garnishing of orange peels embossed with “SangRiya”, a special touch recommended by team 7X Weddings. The end result was absolutely stunning and we gained another feather in our hat for our innovativeness.
Starry Sangeet and Cocktail Night
For their sangeet and after party the couple wanted to be transported to an elite night club, and the Rambaugh palace once again provided us the perfect backdrop to bring this theme alive.Drapes of rich black silk, golden lights and cut glass elements dominated the decor. A big buddha effigy surrounded by long pedestalcandlestands greeted the guests, while metallic statues and opulent chandeliers strategically placed inside the venue gave a larger than life feel to the event. What drew everyone in was the bar with its toque shaped installation fashioned out of rose gold metallic rods and lights, standing tall in the centre of the room, surrounded by dozens of glittering chandeliers. The flowing drinks were perfectly accompanied by elegant finger foods and a bountiful spread catered by CCI and Gyanjee. Everything blended in perfect harmony to provide an energetic ambience for the foot stomping music of Guru Randhawa, Sukhbir and Ibiza Monkeys that kept the guests dancing till dawn. Once again 7X Weddings managed to transcend all boundaries of ordinary and deliver a beauty that left everyone present at the party awestruck.
Ceremony of Joy
The couple decided to follow tradition and tie the knot in a simple ceremony at the gurdwara. Keeping in mind the sanctity of the place we kept the decoration sober and simple. Hangings of mogra and baby pink rose filled the air with their fragrance while a line of pastel flowers accompanied the couple as they walked up the stairs to the sacred place of their union. The ceremony was beautifully captured by the skillful photography of Badal Raja Company. However, where there is 7X Weddings there has to be some glitz and glamour. The ceremony was continued at another grand event at the Jaimahal Palace. The bride walked in under a curved arch of flowers held high by her loved ones while the groom looked dashing as he drove in a vintage car. Dancers in creamy silk garb welcomed the glowing couple and led them to a backdrop spruced up in lilac and purple cut flowers. A simple stage with a hand painted silk backdrop was created for the Twin Strings to fill the air with their musical notes. Subtle shades of white, cream and pink were used to highlight the venue which was strikingly different from our earlier events and stood out in its simplicity.
The Grand Reception Soiree
“Romantic, resplendent with candle flames and floral fragrance”, was our outline for the reception. The creative team at 7X Weddings took to the drawing boards, put on their thinking caps and worked on delivering the perfect finale. Our centre of attention was the stage, created entirely out of fragrant flowers with small crystal birds hanging overhead, painting a picture of delicate clouds floating over a garden in bloom. A thick archway fashioned out of exotic flowers and filled with glass baubles welcomed the guests, while the couple's friends lit up sparklers for them to walk under. A giant canopy of dark maroon silk holding up nestled rectangular beams of flickering lamp shades filled the centre space. Every available surface was richly decorated with beautiful candle stands and flower arrangements, so that everywhere one looked their eyes were met with a warm glow, while the aroma of flowers enchanted them. Salim Sulaiman were the entertainers for the night and a stage fitted with strobe lights, smoke machine and sparklers created the ambience of a concert. The fun element for the event was a shot bar with a spinning wheel to decide what you drank next so it was “Drink, Dance, Cheers and Repeat” all night long. As we watched the family dance in carefree abundance we were sure we had nailed it again !
