Anand and Richa’s Royal Rajasthani Revelry

Team 7X Weddings holds the prestigious title of the best destination wedding planners in India, and that's why the lovely couple gave us the honour to bring alive their dream wedding at the Leela Palace, Jaipur. Their wish was to keep the decor simple yet festive while incorporating the rich heritage of the state. The focus was to have fun and entertainment in all functions. Our main challenge was to find artists who could put up a variety of performances and to brainstorm for ideas to keep the guests engaged through interactive activities at all functions. Our dedicated team provided all wedding services required by the host, and executed a flawless flow of events which ensured that every person present was made to feel loved and pampered throughout their stay.

A Royal Welcome

The festivities began with a welcome dinner. Taking inspiration from the local flavours of Jaipur we showcased Rajasthan in all its glory. The guests were welcomed with pomp under ruby coloured tasselled umbrellas, while musicians dressed in the finest of garb played soul stirring music on their ransinghas. We kept the decor minimalistic so as to enhance the grand space of the ballroom bedecked with ivory inlay motifs on the gilded arches and intricate woodwork panels. Each table was enhanced with the centrepiece of a metallic peacock sitting on a bed of fragrant rajanigandha, while an embellished motif of elephants on blue net draped each chair. A frame of rich teal-blue scalloped fabric and installations bejewelled with strings of fragrant white blossoms provided the background for the stage where local folk singers entertained the guests into the wee hours of the night.

The Sunny Haldi & Mehandi

We used shades of yellow, orange and pink to bring a warm sunny glow to a crisp winter morning. A pillared entrance covered in scallops of garlanded genda and champas, housed a chandelier fashioned out of cloth tassels and rajasthani jhumkas made of cane baskets and velvet animals. The natural layout of the venue was used to create several sit-outs with Edwardian style sofas, soft round pouffes and jute carpets to add a pop of colour to the white marble facade. Fields of pink and yellow cloth strung tightly in a prism shape, offered shade to the tables which were decked with “cutting chai” glasses filled with gorgeous flowers and arty wooden statues. Everything was beautifully harmonised by the stage with a backdrop of geometric white wooden blocks embedded with bright saffron genda. Every nook and corner was highlighted using cloth puppets, local artefacts and travelling trunks full of flowers. The local bazaar theme of the party was a hit with all, the riot of laughter and cheers from the guests carried on for hours and only the glow on the bride’s face could overshadow the ambience beautifully assembled by team 7X Weddings.

The Electrifying Sangeet

A dancing couple wrapped in each other's arms as they swirl to the music, was our theme for the sangeet. Life size standees of a dancing couple embossed with words depicting love and festivities lined the pathway, while an arch with model of palms depicting various dance mudra welcomed the guests into the elegant ballroom. Once inside they were surrounded by a hue of royal purple created with dazzling mood lights. The stage fashioned out of metallic cuboids lined with led lights and a modulating digital backdrop created the illusion of an illuminated couple dancing in the metaverse. A lineup of ballerinas welcomed the couple with a shower of glittering confetti before enthralling the audience with their mesmerising performance. Undulating layers of pedestal candle stands surrounded by delicate blooming flowers enriched the tables scattered across the room while the bar shimmered like diamond everytime the lights hit the glass tubes covering it. The stage changed backgrounds with every performance choreographed by the family, keeping pace with the beat and tempo of each piece. At the end of the event team 7X Weddings was left glowing with pride for another event flawlessly executed.

The Majestic Mayra and Sajangoth

Team 7X Weddings was given the challenge to step away from tradition and create something unique and quirky for this occasion. Taking advantage of the sprawling garden we decided to create a mashup of various elements instead of showcasing a single theme. The welcome arena was traditional in its appearance. A background of sandstone mansions surrounded by baskets of spices and life size statues of camels replicated the bustling pink city, while chandeliers constructed from garlands of flowers placed in concentric circles were hung from pastel fabric to form a canopy. The interior was more futuristic where the hospitality team seemed to be nestled inside a shell made of tightly strung fabric as they handed out sunglasses and mirror work umbrellas to keep the guest shaded under the sun. Breaking away from the conventional single long table for the sajangoth, we decided to create an area filled with cosier tables to make an intimate setting of 4. The antique chowki, gleaming silverware and soft metallic cushions contrasted beautifully with the baby pink fabric of the diwan and pandal. The sentry of horses and elephants added a royal touch while the astrologer, fun fair games, lively performances from the troupe and a soothing leg massage kept the guests busy and pampered.

The Regal Wedding

For the grand finale we wanted to showcase the opulence of the hotel and royal splendour of the city. Stings of fragrant blooms cascading gracefully over undulating scallops formed a charming entrance into the venue while stands with metallic lotus surrounded by candles created a serene and visually captivating ambience inside. The bride walked through a silver embellished majestic arched gate to meet her groom, and together they were led to the mandap by a formation of ladies delicately cradling ornate diya in their hands. The mandap itself was transformed into a captivating setting: graceful arches adorned with mirror embedded floral patterns, delicate wooden cutouts of the bodhi tree and a lotus shaped dias outlined with luxurious blossoms completed the look. Amphitheatre style seating around the mandap ensured that each guest had a clear view of the dazzling couple as they garlended each other under the millions of stars from the sparklers and exchanged their vows around the holy fire. A stage adorned with a hand painted backdrop, enveloped by a vibrant array of flowers showcased elegance in simplicity. The venue was illuminated by the radiant glow of the joyful faces of the family, as team 7X Weddings took a graceful bow to mark the successful conclusion of yet another breathtaking event.
