Nikita + Pranay - A Royal destination wedding at City Palace, Jaipur
“Team 7X was at Jaipur last November and loved crafting this destination wedding of Nikita and Pranay. ”
A wedding which happened between two souls who met in a very formal setup at Hyatt Ahmedabad and the very first meeting made them feel the connection. Amazing right? Yes, the first short meeting continued with a long next one and then converted to things forever!
Nikita, who belongs to Ahmedabad, always dreamt of having a big fat Indian wedding for herself and her father knew it all. At the same time, Pranay being the first child of the family, his mom was always clear about doing the most talked about wedding of the season. So, a wedding with a lot of family members, friends and cousins was on its way.
Destination weddings have now become the sought after thing. This time it was Jaipur after tremendous amount of brain storming by the families of both sides. Team 7X nurtured every thought and idea given by them.
Day 1– The main attraction of this day was the welcoming of both sides. The bride and her family arrived early and we all did a beautiful welcoming of the groom’s side. Brunch was planned at the pool side and the beautiful PRANIK photo booth was the eye catcher for everyone. The hues of white and blue were going so well with the ever smiling and bubbly bride and her groom.
Sangeet- The most awaited evening turned out to be a mesmerizing one. The purple and blue surroundings had unspeakable beauty. It looked like everything was exceptionally perfect. Silver ball hangings and white branches covering the entire pathway made it a so serene that perfection was a small word to describe the beauty.
The dulha dulhan had a great entry. A special installation with painted two wheelers gave them timeless laughter.
Flower vases that filled the space with colors along with lot of decorative mirrors were adding spectacular charm to the night. We did the stage with rectangular boxes and lights that illuminated every performance as a pleasing experience.
Day 2 – The most important day had arrived and we were all set to make it a more than perfect one.
The morning lunch was a casino carnival theme. We installed tables inside the hall and our guests literally got agglutinated. Lunch was arranged in the garden area with blue, pink and white flowers which made the garden area splendid as ever. The photo booths were so charming that each moment reflected true happiness. The young beauties that welcomed the bride and groom and covered the photo backdrop made it a high spirited and glorious event.
The time to tie the knot had arrived.City Palace, is the symbol of pure regality in India. With the baraat entrering along with men holding fire torches, horses, elephants and canon camels Pranay depicted the divinity of a King. Some forty dancers welcomed the entry of the most awaited groom. I clearly remember my favourite moment in this wedding was the arrival of Nikita for the Varmala. A red and white dome shaped floral chariot pulled by Nikita’s brothers was the centre of attraction and made the most elegant and serene bridal entry. Crackers’ bursting around this emotional moment of the bride’s father giving her hand to the groom - was an unforgettable one.
City Palace was about to be the most beautiful mandap ever. Golden and Red was the world of Nikita and Pranay on this day and Nikita looked stunningly beautiful in her pink and golden Dolly J lehenga.
The largesse of City Palace in itself is so unmistakable. The beauty of this venue was bespoke during the pheras especially due to Ganga aarti playing at the back. We lit up diyas at different spaces and our roses worked magically!
For team 7X, the journey of integrating all the wedding décor ideas, executing the plans and getting to see these two souls come together was a totally joyous experience.
